OUR GOAL FOR THE EVENT

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for agile coaches and practitioners to share, connect, explore, learn, and have fun.

WE USE OPEN SPACE TECHNOLOGY

We use Open Space Technology to allow the best event to take place based on who comes. There are no pre-defined sessions to try and choose from. Listen to what your peers would like to talk about, and then let your experience happen in an emergent and dynamic way.

2019 EVENT FACILITATORS

Mike Lowery

I am an advocate for continuous improvement and Agile delivery. I am not in this game for a trendy label, I want to make work a better place to spend the majority of your life. I help teams and organisations who want to start their Agile journey or look to improve their current (non software) business processes. I love to spend my time working with the workers, helping them to help themselves build energised, purposeful and courageous teams.

Leslie Stone

Leslie enables people to navigate life with purpose by exploring and discovering how they can become their best self. She loves taking on challenges and learning new skills. She currently works with agile teams and loves being in a customer-focused space that supports her drive of giving back to others. Over the past year, she began her journey towards becoming a professional coach and dreams to build her own leadership retreat. Leslie is passionate about the outdoors and enabling others to become high performing, self-sufficient, and see that they are in control of their journey.

Sue Johnston

Sue's a coach and trainer who specializes in face-to-face communication. She is happiest helping people find their voices and build their interpersonal skills so they bring out the best in themselves and others.
After a career in journalism, Sue worked in employee communication, helping people understand organizational and technological change. While completing a masters degree, she shifted her focus to interpersonal communication, our most powerful tool and established It’s Understood Communication to help others use that tool well. Her popular coaching and facilitation workshops are accredited by ICAgile. You can find out more about Sue here.

Jesus Mendez

Facilitator, Agility Enabler with a strong interest in DevOps, speaker, trainer, author of the book "Forming Agile Teams" and seasoned blogger, Jesus has more than 8 years of experience in the field fantastic wave of Agility and more than seventeen years of IT expertise. Curious and generous, he likes to learn and share the fruit of his colourful experiences. Carrying a rigour and a remarkable spirit of synthesis, he has mastered the art of connecting points of view. He is a born rallyer as evidenced by the number of teams he will help build with several clients. As for his frosty side, you will find him smiling in front of a good table, a happy dessert or surrounded by members of his family. You can find out more about Jesus here.

Omar Bermudez

Experienced with more than 19 years in the IT field, natural leader, mentor and motivator. Motivates people effectively, empowering individuals through positive reinforcement to be high-quality performers in demanding multi-tasking environments. I am also passionate about leadership development and seeing people reach their full potential.

Petula Guimaraes

Agile coach, former developer, bad at piano, good at math, nature lover, occasional climber. Based in Montreal, Petula is an Agilist at heart, passionate about team dynamics, organizational culture, innovation and personal development. She takes great pleasure in in helping people find their own version of Agility and insists in simplifying without compromising results. Firm believer of nurture over nature, her pragmatic approach to organization transformation is to insist on improving the system so that people can reach their full potential. Be not surprised that her resume has all sorts of roles throughout her journey so far: she is non-denominational and not attached to roles and titles, very happy to not fit in. She stays Agile: she always changes!
